Customer Account Privacy Notice.
This notice explains how Terra Industries processes information for customer account applications and approved customer profiles.
What we collect
Contact and company details, country and delivery information, fleet/equipment information, account and quotation records, security logs, IP/browser details, legal acknowledgements and optional marketing choices.
Why we use it
To evaluate applications, administer approved accounts, provide quotations and services, protect the website and Terra proprietary research, maintain security/audit records and comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis
Terra processes information under the lawful grounds available in POPIA section 11. Marketing consent is optional and separate from mandatory transactional processing.
Approval
Applications remain PENDING until Terra reviews them. Registration does not automatically grant full cross-reference access, pricing privileges, account credit or any other commercial status.
Cross-border processing
Cross-border customers may register. If personal information must be transferred outside South Africa, Terra will use a basis permitted by POPIA section 72 and appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as reasonably necessary or legally required. Terra applies technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet-connected system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction or deletion where appropriate, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is relied upon, and complain to the Information Regulator.
