Strictly necessary cookies and storage

Terra uses cookies and browser storage required for security, authentication, privacy preferences, abuse prevention and user-requested functions, including Quote List functionality. These functions cannot be disabled through the preference manager without affecting the requested service.

First-party technologies may include terra_consent for cookie choices, terra_privacy_id for preference records, session or authentication cookies where applicable and browser local storage for the Quote List.

Optional Analytics

Analytics remains off until accepted. When accepted, Terra may use terra_analytics_visitor, terra_analytics_session and first-party events to measure pages, searches, Quote List interactions and traffic sources.

These identifiers are random and do not, by themselves, contain the visitor's name or email address. Terra analytics tables are not designed to store raw IP addresses.

Marketing Cookies and direct marketing

Marketing Cookies is an optional category and remains off by default. At present the choice reserves permission for future measurement or advertising tools; it does not automatically subscribe a visitor to a newsletter, email or WhatsApp.

Direct-marketing consents are separate from cookie preferences and are managed in accordance with POPIA, including section 69 for unsolicited electronic communications.

Aggregate statistics

Regardless of the Analytics choice, Terra may retain aggregate page and search counts without a persistent visitor identifier for stock planning, cross-reference research and catalogue improvement.

Retention

Detailed analytics are configured for limited retention, currently up to 13 months. Non-identifying aggregate statistics may be retained longer for business analysis. Preference records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate and respect user choices.

Changing or withdrawing choices

You can change your choices at any time through Cookie Preferences in the footer. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser, although doing so may end sessions, clear the Quote List or require you to select preferences again.
